Fresh Chocolate Chip Cookies
Published: 08/03/2011 by Jewocity.com
Actually there are two methods to make these amazing cookies. One method is fast and available.
After the dough is ready, let it cool down for half an hour in the refrigerator, roll and bake cookies. Another method is to roll up the dough and place it in the freezer ("for the guests"). Then, just slice the desired amount of cookies, bake and enjoy fresh-baked cookies. The cookie dough rolls can be stored in the freezer for about a month or two without any problem.
Chocolate chip cookies
40-50 cookies
Ingredients:
200g soft butter
1 Cup White Sugar
½ Cup Dark Brown Sugar
2 Eggs at Room Temperature
½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 Cups White Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
¼ Teaspoon Fine Salt
3/4 Cup Quaker Oats
200g Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
Preparation:
1. In a Mixer Bowl with paddle attachment whip together the butter, white and brown sugar until the mixture is fluffy, light and puffy.
2. Add the eggs one by one, after each one "clean up" the edge of the bowl. This actually helps the eggs to blend in the mixture well.
3. Add the Vanilla Extract and continue to blend.
4. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, and add to mixture.
5. Add the oats, and continue to blend the dough on low speed, blend until the mixture begins to form into dough.
Add the Chocolate chips, and blend for a few seconds, just until they are dispersed uniformly in the dough.
6. Let the dough cool in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Method 1
Preparation of rolls: After the dough cooled down in the refrigerator for half an hour, on a floured surface, form rolls of about 2 inches in diameter (more if you want the cookies to be really large.) Wrap each roll and keep in the freezer until use.
Method 2
Roll Cookies: After the dough cooled in the refrigerator for half an hour, cut it into small pieces with your hands and roll into small dough balls. Set the cookie dough on an oven tray lined with baking paper.
Cool the cookies for 20 minutes in the freezer before baking, meanwhile, heat oven to 175 degrees.
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, until golden and fragrant. They look pretty soft when taken out of the oven, but harden a little when cooled.
