With Friends Like Avraham Burg & Peter Beinart, Who Needs Enemies?

Another day and another editorial opposing Israel in The NY Times –
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/
Even the vanguard of the left, Haaretz journalist Ari Shavit said his most recent book reeked of “loathing of Israeliness.” The man has said that “Defining Israel as a Jewish state is the key to its end“, and even another far-leftist, Yossi Beilin distanced himself from Burg. The leftist media works very hard in the Jewish community to create their version of stars – people like Burg and Peter Beinart can’t attract Jewish followers, sell books or create any attention – despite all the media fawning all over them. Shameful.
And in line with the warped logic of the liberal left who claim to be so open-minded, comments still aren’t allowed on the blog of Peter Beinart. With “friends” like Burg and Beinart, who needs enemies?
The words of Ze’ev Jabotinsky can be applied very clearly due to these two: “What interest can the Jewish nation have in individuals whose supreme pride consists in the fact that they have renounced their own people? The bitter root of our shame and our suffering is that we do not give our own people the full love of a patriot. It would be better if we did not love our people at all, if we were unconcerned as to whether it existed or had disappeared, rather than that we should love it halfway which means to despise it.”
