In honor of the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat—the 15th of the month of Shevat, which celebrates the new year for trees, today’s Wordapod is TREEVIAL. Warning: There may be close to 15 plays on words here.
TREEVIAL
Treevial (adj) – possessing an exhaustive (and exhausting) amount of knowledge about trees
Please Note: A synonym for treevial that some prefer is arbore-real. Treeviality and arbore-reality are equally valid word forms.
Sample Sentence: Jack annoys me every single time with his need to share every treevial fact and figure with me.
Observation:
Curiously, with all of the television networks available, there have been very few (if any) arbore-reality TV series. Not that there would be too many people pining away for such a show.
If there are any networks that are looking for some treevial new shows, I propose the following series titles:
- This Old Tree House
- More and More Sycamores
- Sap Me Quickly
- Grey’s Botany
- Planting with the Stars
- Roots (sorry)
- Making an Ash Out of Myself
