Mitt Romney on Israel

By Ronn Torossian

So, in the private fundraiser where Mitt Romney was caught on tape, he spoke about peace in the Middle East….

And said that “the Palestinians have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish.”

“I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there’s just no way.”

“The idea of pushing on the Israelis to give something up to get the Palestinians to act is the worst idea in the world.”

Anyone going to vote on the Israel issue should be aware of this.

On a related note to the Middle East, isn’t it simply sad that the only people protesting in New York against the arrival of the President of Iran are Jewish groups? Where are the exiles, and the human rights organizations, women’s groups or LGBT organizations? Food for thought.
