Israel Public Relations

As a PR agency owner, it’s a busy week with a lot of stories relevant to Israel public relations.  Of course, Israel is always a nation receiving a ton of media coverage.

Some of the more interesting stories of the past week:

  • This week, Israel rightfully boycotted the United Nations ‘human rights council.’  60,000 people have died in Syria – and the United Nations is being pressured at the UN.
  • As the Daily Beast recently wrote, Tel Aviv has become one of the world’s top destinations for gay tourism.  Tel Aviv is aggressively targeting gay tourism and its believed that 50,000 LGBT visitors were in Tel Aviv in 2013. Yaniv Waizman, the mayor’s adviser on gay community affairs said: “The first thing they did was send well-known (and good-looking) Israeli performers to gay pride events in major cities around the world, They also placed sexy ads in major gay rags across Europe and America, including Out and The Advocate. They even reached out to celebrity bloggers, like Perez Hilton, with a hard-to-resist offer: a free trip to Tel Aviv, all expenses paid, in return for a little publicity.”
    • Tel Aviv was voted one of the best gay cities in a poll in 2011.
