Alyse Nelson of Vital Voices Global Partnership to Keynote PR News’ PR People Awards Luncheon

Alyse Nelson, president and CEO of the Vital Voices Global Partnership, will keynote PR News’ Nov. 29 PR People Awards luncheon in Washington, D.C. PR News will salute the winners and honorable mentions of the PR People Awards, which recognize the top Public Relations practitioners of the past year at a Nov. 29 luncheon event at Washington D.C.’s prestigious National Press Club.

Keynoter Alyse Nelson, who was featured in Newsweek as one of “150 Women Shaking the World” in 2011 and is the author of Vital Voices: The Power of Women Leading Change Around the World, will discuss in her keynote address “Women as a Global Leadership Force.” A co-founder of Vital Voices, Nelson has worked with women leaders to develop training programs and international forums in over 140 countries and has interviewed more than 200 international leaders. Previously, Nelson served as deputy director of the Vital Voices Global Democracy Initiative at the U.S. Department of State.

Emceeing the PR People Awards luncheon will be comedian and filmmaker Maija DiGiorgio. The next day at the National Press Club, on Nov. 30, PR News will be presenting its Media Relations Next Practice Conference, featuring media relations experts from organizations such as JetBlue, Verizon, PBS, Lockheed Martin, Hilton Worldwide, and more.
