5WPR: Digital Marketing Survey & How Integrated Marketing Works
At 5WPR my PR firm we believe integrated marketing – the combination of many different disciplines is the most effective way to gain market share. And we are sure given the continued growth of marketing many feel the same.
Interesting survey findings in the first Webmarketing123 State of Digital Marketing Survey. Questions were asked regarding Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (PPC), and social media marketing. 500 people participated in the survey, from business to business and business to consumer companies.
According to the survey results, Search Engine Optimization has by far the biggest impact on lead generation for online marketers. Over 46 percent of survey participants amongst B2B audiences say they seek to generate leads online as their primary purpose. Just under 40 percent of consumer companies define lead generation as most important (makes sense as consumer brands are more about just that – building brand.)
More companies outsource PPC than SEO, and 84.8% handle their social media with in-house staff. 75.3% of B2C companies are the most active on Facebook, followed by 8.4% on Twitter and 6.2% on LinkedIn. 68.4% of marketers surveyed say they have generated leads from social media sites.
All of these trends point to more funds being spent in years to come on all aspects of marketing – from social media to digital content, public relations to PPC.
